I love to cook and today I felt like really good pea soup, it takes a little time but it is well worth the wait. It is also really cheap to make and so good for you.



1 Onion

2 carrots, cut in pieces

1 small potato

1 cup yellow peas

1 1/2 cup red lentils

1 boullion cube or broth

1 block of bacon

1 teaspoon herbs.

  1. Cut onion, carrot, small potato then add yellow peas and red lentils then cover with broth.

  2. Let cook for about 1 hour.

  3. Cut a block of bacon into small cubes

  4. Add bacon and boil for about one more hour

  5. Strain the soup into a bowl, pick out the bacon bits and put into empty pot with the boullion.

  6. Mix the peas and veggies in a food processor

  7. Add the mixed peas back into the boullion and stir until the soup is smooth

  8. Add a herbmix of mejram, basil, oregano (about a teaspoon) and some pepper

  9. Make sure the peas are cooked through then serve it with mustard if that is something you perfer.
