Today I am trying out Storyorigin, this is a place for people that want to read and leave you a review can do that. And at the same time growing my e-mail list. This is pretty new to me I must admit and I will have to read up on it. But I hope it will be worth it, to find new readers who are looking for new books in a new book series like mine.

As a new author, it is important to find new possibilities to find and reach new readers. I find that this is the greatest obstacle so far, but I am sure that once I get some reviews posted It will not be so difficult to get people to read it.

I do have readers that really like the book, I am hoping to get them to write reviews for me. Although I am also guilty of not reading books with no reviews myself.

The setup on Storyorigin seems a little over my head. I need to look at some tutorials to understand how to use this platform to the fullest. Maybe it is easy for millennials but not for older "kids" like me. The bottom line is, it doesn't matter how you get your book out there if people like it they will tell other people about it and it will spread. Rome was not built in one day, and I am still building my empire brick by brick.

I now have a profile on Goodreads. I find Goodreads to be a bit... hard to use. Maybe it is only me, who knows. There is no place for authors to advertise their newly released books. You have to search for groups and then see if you can maybe... find someplace to advertise your book. How are readers supposed to find new books if there is nowhere to advertise them? I have now tried to be active in plenty of groups but it seems to me as if Goodreads is full of writers who can't find a way to be seen. I hope I am wrong.

I also have a profile on Bookbub. My first impression of Bookbub is that their site is easier to use than Goodreads.

I still have a lot to do until I can say that my book is out in all mediums, it is not yet. I am still waiting for the audiobook to be done and other things. But The Crown Prince is out in Libraries! Ask for it at your local library, it is available and they can get it for you. This is something that will benefit all.

It is a lot of work, checking and rechecking that every word is where it is supposed to be sure that nothing moved while you uploaded it.

And, that you don't have to redo the whole thing when you are done, this time. But it is exciting! If this wasn't in the middle of a covid pandemic, I would have a hell of a book publishing party!

That will have to wait, for now. There are no set rules or guidelines of how to do a book release, so I will push it forward.

There will come a time when it will be possible until then I will keep working.

Today I have ordered a print copy of the book, so see so that everything is perfect. Then I have to send books to libraries and those places all authors must send copies to. I am waiting to see so the book is perfect before I do that.

Now one thing is done, and it is time to move on to the next, and the next and the next.

Yes, that is the way it is. And then I will do some research for other resources that I did not know about. I am sure there are many, and then I will add them to the whole thing.

It is also time to start researching marketing strategies, there are many great ways to market your book and I aim to find them all. I hope you all have a great day today! Enjoy your relaxed Sunday. Kisses
